“How do you work?”

My Product Design Workflow

My expertise extends to the intricate realm of UX design, where I meticulously map out user journeys, create wireframes, and develop interactive prototypes. Rooted in a user-centric approach, my designs prioritize not just visual appeal but also the seamless navigation and satisfaction of the end-user.

1. Define
2. Discover
3. Design
4. Prototype
1. Define

Define the Scope

First and foremost, I pinpoint exactly what the customers (users) need and what task the client wants the user to complete from their product.
Following that, I do a rundown of what needs to happen and which business metrics must be met.
This beginning discovery phase includes:

  • Summary of project and its primary objectives
  • Definition of business goal metrics (KPIs)
  • Budget for digital production and advertising
  • Product deliverables for website and digital project
  • Potential constraints and challenges to project progression

2. Discover

Discover User Needs

Once we have a feel for the direction we are heading in, then we map out step by step how the user will experience the product. This involves carving out pathways of each interaction, especially when there is more than one option.
After that, we do a research and analysis of the top competitors in your industry. This gives a guide on which UI components should be included in the user experience for your product.
Finding out user needs includes:

  • Listing information architecture and visualizing user site map
  • Simulate a userflow journey within a digital product
  • Research competitors and discover their strengths and weaknesses
  • Define the design hierarchy of what goes in what order
  • Develop user personas of a specific target audience and demographic

3. Design

Design the User Experience & Product

Next, we have the blueprint phase which gives a rough draft visual of what the design will look like. This part is crucial because the client can determine what they want to add or takeaway from the design.
Remember that early investments in product design and user experience save businesses money and resources in the long run.
This important stage includes:

  • Lo-fidelity wireframes and sketches to determine general content layout
  • Medium-fidelity prototypes to refine and establish overall look
  • Hi-fidelity mockups that simulate real-time user experience

4. Prototype

Develop the Prototype

The final and most exciting part is when I reveal the final product to the client. We will look at the result and edit the little details to make it perfect.
After a final check, the site or digital product goes live and will receive necessary maintenance and production.
This stage includes:

  • Interactive prototypes that simulate real-time user experience
  • Watching in real life how the users interact with the product
  • Finishing touches and polishing up the aesthetic
